Privacy Policy
This page tells you what little information Shopper Bonus Guide collects when you visit, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We keep it simple on purpose. This is a small, static informational site. It isn't an app, a store, or an Instacart product.
- No accounts, no logins, no forms that store personal data.
- We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to count visits. We don't profile you.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- Copying the code BEAN85579C happens entirely in your browser. We don't record it.

Who we are
Shopper Bonus Guide is an independent, affiliate-supported guide to the Instacart Shopper program. We are not Instacart, Maplebear Inc., or any affiliated company. "Instacart" is a trademark of its owner, and we use it here only to describe its shopper program. If you sign up using the referral code we display, we may receive a referral reward. That transaction happens on Instacart's own platform, under Instacart's terms and privacy practices, not ours.
What information we collect
We try to collect as little as we can. In practice it falls into two buckets.
1. Basic, privacy-friendly analytics
To understand which guides are useful and whether pages load correctly, we use lightweight, aggregate analytics. That may include:
- The pages you view and the order you view them in
- Approximate region or country, derived from your IP address and not stored as a precise location
- Your device type, browser, and screen size
- The referring website or search that brought you here
This data is aggregated and used to improve the site. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't try to identify individual visitors.
2. Information you choose to send us
If you email us through the contact page, we receive whatever you put in that message. Usually that's your email address and the content of your question. We use it only to reply and to improve our guides. We don't add you to any marketing list.
We do not run user accounts, shopping carts, or checkout flows, and we never ask for sensitive details such as your ID, bank information, or background-check data. Anything Instacart needs to onboard you as a shopper is collected by Instacart on its own website and app. See Instacart's privacy policy for that.
Cookies and similar technologies
We keep cookies to a minimum. The site works fine without you accepting marketing or advertising cookies, because we don't use them.
Here's what we may actually rely on:

You can block or delete cookies anytime in your browser settings. Doing that won't break the core content of this site.
The referral code and the "copy" button
When you tap a button to copy BEAN85579C, your own browser's clipboard does the work. We don't receive, log, or store the fact that you copied it. If you then sign up on Instacart's official site, any data you enter there is governed by Instacart's privacy policy, not ours.
Third-party links and services
This site links out to third parties. The main one is Instacart's official sign-up page at shoppers.instacart.com. Outbound links to Instacart are affiliate and referral links. Once you leave our site, you're subject to that destination's own privacy practices, which we don't control. Read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Our analytics may be handled by a third-party processor. We pick providers that support privacy-respecting, aggregate measurement, and we don't authorize them to sell your data.
How we use information
- To keep the site running and fix technical problems
- To understand which guides are helpful and make them better
- To respond to messages you send us
- To measure, in aggregate, whether people find our guides useful
We never use your information to make credit, employment, or eligibility decisions. Instacart alone decides shopper eligibility, bonus amounts, and payment.
Data sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal information. We don't rent or trade it either. We share data only with the limited service providers that help us run the site, such as our web host and analytics provider, and only so they can do that job. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Data retention
Aggregate analytics are kept only as long as they're useful for spotting trends, then discarded or anonymized further. Emails you send us are kept only as long as we need them to handle your request.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information a business holds about you, plus the right to opt out of certain processing. If you are in the European Union or the UK, the GDPR gives you these rights, and our lawful basis for the little we process is legitimate interest in running and improving the site. If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you similar rights, and we do not sell or share your personal information as those laws define it. Because we hold very little that identifies you, these requests are usually simple to honor. To make one, contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
- Opt out of analytics: turn on "Do Not Track" or a privacy extension in your browser, or block cookies for this site.
- Access or deletion: email us and tell us what you'd like.
Children's privacy
This site is meant for adults considering the Instacart Shopper program, which requires you to be 18 or the age of majority in your location. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
International visitors
We publish guides for shoppers in the United States and Canada, and visitors do come from elsewhere. Data may be processed in the country where our hosting or analytics providers operate. By using the site, you understand your information may be handled outside your home country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be shown clearly on this page.
